Today, NHN, the leading multi-national internet and online gaming company, has revealed more information about the Holy Creatures in Karos Online, its upcoming free-to-play MMORPG.

The Holy Creatures, which serve as mounts in Karos Online, can be summoned from a special piece of armour worn on the shoulder that the characters may wear after obtaining them through a quest or purchasing them from an NPC vendor. Once worn, these armour pieces allow the players to summon magical beings called Holy Creatures to help them move faster in the game. The Holy Creatures come in different varieties, and the first ones to be presented today are the Wolf, a deadly long-fanged animal clad in shiny armour, and the Dragon, a mysterious reptile hovering above the ground. Several other Holy Creatures types will be revealed in the future.

Each initial Holy Creature type, made of Iron metal, can be upgraded twice through crafting to Holy and Gold levels. Each upgrade enhances the Holy Creature's speed and lets it transport its summoner at a quicker pace through the world of Asmara. The armour pieces look is different for each level, allowing all players to see each other's Holy Creatures even when not riding them.

NHN has confirmed that many changes are being made to their upcoming MMORPG Karos Online in response to feedback from European players. They expect the changes to be very well received, and more details will be revealed shortly. Beta signup is now open at www.karosgame.com, and dates for the next Closed Beta Weekend event will be confirmed soon. Players possessing an access code for any Closed Beta Weekend also have free access to future ones. Karos Online is scheduled to be released in English during Q4 2009, with versions in German and Turkish to follow later.
